Care

To extend the life of your clothes, it's crucial to care for them properly. At the Code, we feel a responsibility that goes beyond the creation process itself—that's why we've prepared a short guide to make caring for your wardrobe simple and more environmentally friendly.

Wash carefully

Most clothes don't need to be washed after every wear—airing and gently shaking them out will simply prolong their freshness. It's worth remembering that washing too often accelerates color fading and fiber damage. When washing, try to choose lower temperatures—30°C is usually sufficient—but always follow the instructions on the care labels. Don't overload the drum, and use eco-friendly detergents without bleach or harsh fabric softeners.

Dry naturally

Skip the tumble dryer—take your laundry out as soon as the cycle ends. Shape each item while still damp and hang it on a hanger or in the dryer. Drying naturally protects the fibers from warping, creasing, and mold.

Store carefully

Store clothes in a dry, shaded place, avoiding tight packing. Hang stiffened styles; fold stretchy knits loosely in drawers. Protect natural fibers from moths with dried lavender or cedar.

Take care constantly

React immediately to stains—spot-treat stains before they become permanent. Repair minor imperfections creatively: stitch, patch, or embroider. When a piece no longer suits you, extend its life—organize a clothes swap with friends or donate to reputable clothing collection organizations.
